1) Dissertations, by their nature, focus on current research trends. Exploring dissertations on your topic might help you focus your research questions.
2) Dissertations typically include a very thorough literature review. By examining the sources listed in the literature review you may be able to expand the number of resources relevant to your own research.

The Library has a collection of National University theses as part of a special collection. These materials must be used in-library, but occasionally, authors will donate a second copy that is available for borrowing. The link below retrieves both special collection and circulating theses:
