The Library has over 125 article and information databases.
The following core databases cover multiple-subjects and are a great place to begin. Also included in the list below are subject databases from related fields.
Content: Unbiased sources produced and vetted by scholars, seasoned journalists, and CQ Press editors. Includes a combination of full-text and analytical database resources.
Purpose: A definitive reference resource for research in American government, politics, history, public policy, and current affairs.
Special Features: Includes tools that support identifying a topic, citing sources, and collecting data.
Content: Scholarly journals, academic content, periodicals and videos covering a broad range of academic disciplines.
Purpose: A good starting point for research with coverage across many disciplines and fields.
Special Features: Text-to-speech listening feature. Tool to help discover citing articles.
Content: Database supporting business and legal research.
Purpose: News, journals, and company profiles and directories for both public and private companies.
Special Features: U.S. Supreme Court decisions dating back to the 1790s, New York Times articles, Cases, Law Reviews, Company & Country Information, and much more.
Content: Collection of more than 30 Proquest subject-specific databases covering Business, Health and Medical, Social Sciences, Education, Science and Technology, and Humanities.
Purpose: Students can view a massive amount of peer-reviewed research across multiple disciplines.
Special Features: Includes a Thesaurus feature that assists in using the database’s controlled vocabulary, as well as read-aloud feature.
Content: Sociology research database with open access and peer-review, non-open access journal articles dating back to 1895.
Purpose: Great for comprehensive research in sociology.
Special Features: SocINDEX with Full Text includes 3,115 active indexed and abstracted journals. 2,994 of them are peer-reviewed.
