Applying for financial aid programs can help you obtain an education that might otherwise be outside your financial reach.  Financial Aid is available in the form of grants, loans, and scholarships.
 

First, the student must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online application.  Students must file a FAFSA application annually.

Upon completion of the FAFSA the student will receive a summary called the SAR (Student Aid Report).  This report will give you a summary of all possible loans and grants that you may be eligible for.

Grants - Free Money.  Pell Grant, TEACH Grant, FSEOG, Cal Grant (A, B, S)

Loans - Must be paid back.  Subsidized Loans, Unsubsidized Loans, Private Loans

 

  • Federal Pell Grant Award Range: $361 - $5,775 (2015-2016)
  • FSEOG Award Range: $50 - $1,200 (2015-2016)
  • Cal-Grant A & B Award Range: $100 - $12,297
  • TEACH Grant Award Range: $247 - $3,728

A loan program to assist students with educational expenses.  

Interest does not accrue until out of attendance.  

Interest Rate when out of attendance: 4.29% (2015-2016)

1st year undergraduate:  Up to $3,500
2nd year undergraduate: Up to $4,500
3rd and 4th year Undergraduate:  Up to $5,500

A program available to students who may not qualify for a subsidized WDF Loan or may qualify for only a partial subsidized WDF loan.

Interest accruing at 4.29% for Undergraduate Students (2015-2016)

Interest accruing at 5.84% for Graduate Students (2015-2016)

1st and 2nd year undergraduate:  Up to $6,000
3rd and 4th year undergraduate:  Up to $7,000
Graduate students:  Up to $20,500

Dependent Undergraduate $31,000 ($23,000 Subsidized Stafford)

Independent Undergraduate $57,500 ($23,000 Subsidized Stafford)

Graduate $138,500 ($65,500 in Subsidized Stafford and $73,000 in Unsubsidized Stafford)

Transfer to Success Scholarship:  up to $5,000

Military Tuition Scholarship:  up to $2,500

Veterans' Victory Scholarship:  up to $5,000

Retired Veteran Scholarship:

  • Undergraduate Students: 45% Tuition Scholarship
  • Graduate Students: 35% Tuition Scholarship
