 FAQs

Smart Search is our universal search, great for searching across the Library for articles, books, videos, journals, etc.

Limit to peer-reviewed only using the option on the left side of the search results (under Availability). Not sure what peer-reviewed is? Learn more.

A good first step is to search for the title in Smart Search. Not there? Watch this short tutorial for another method.

For an article, click "Full text available" for a list of databases that have it available. For an e-book, click "Online access" to view it.

Check out our Citation Resources guide for help with APA, MLA, and more.

Contact a librarian if you are stuck on a particular citation, or the Writing Center for more extensive help.

If you pinned an item from the result list, this will be saved to your Favorites. To access your Favorites, click on the pin icon in the top-right of the Smart Search page, located next to the history icon.

Please be aware that pinned items will only save temporarily to your Favorites if you are not signed in.
