GPO Access contains major federal legislative, legal, and regulatory information sources such as congressional bills, the Code of Federal Regulations, and the U.S. Code. Examples of other federal government public administration Internet resources include:

  • Federal Register
  • GPO Access: Code of Federal Regulations  The Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) is the codification of the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by the executive departments and agencies of the Federal Government. It is divided into 50 titles that represent broad areas subject to Federal regulation. Each volume of the CFR is updated once each calendar year and is issued on a quarterly basis.
  • GPO Access: Public & Private Laws  Contains the text of public and private laws enacted from the 104th Congress to the present.
  • GPO Access: Unified Agenda  Features announcements of anticipated federal regulatory actions twice a year in the Federal Register.
  • GPO Access: U.S. Code
  • Library of Congress: Thomas  Launched in January of 1995 to make federal legislative information freely available to the public, including Bills, Resolutions, Congressional Record, Treaties, and much more!
  • Regulations.gov  Comment on proposed federal regulations.
