Using APA in a PowerPoint presentation

The Publication Manual doesn't provide guidance specifically for presentations, which can lead to some confusion when you're asked to create a PowerPoint in APA style! We like this example presentation, which gives you a basic idea of what you need to include in your document.

Make sure that you're following any formatting directions from your instructor, providing citations on each of your slides whenever you use information from another source, and concluding with a full list of everything you refer to (both in text, and out loud if you're giving an oral presentation!).

Reading scholarly articles quickly and efficiently

If you're new to reading scholarly articles, getting through a lot of them for a project might seem overwhelming. We like this infographic on how to get the most out articles while saving time.

APA templates and sample papers

The APA have created a sample paper that'll show you how to set up a title page, headings, a works cited list, and in-text citations. Make sure to download the student version! Note that a template has been provided for you in Blackboard.
